Team Preview: Mambacitos

Built around size, versatility, and unselfish play, this roster has the talent and depth to compete with anyone in the league. With multiple experienced players, elite defenders, dependable shooters, and several legitimate scoring threats, this team can control games on both ends of the floor.

The frontcourt begins with two traditional 6’6” centers in Cody Wolf and Nyle Ahmed. Wolf, a former varsity player, provides strength, physicality, rebounding, and a dependable interior presence. Ahmed brings similar size and toughness, along with the ability to finish around the basket with either hand. Together, they give the team two true centers capable of protecting the paint, controlling the glass, and punishing smaller opponents inside.

Leading the perimeter attack is Domonique Dunning, a former Division I starter and prolific all-around guard. Dunning can score at every level, create for teammates, rebound his position, and impact the game defensively. His experience and versatility make him one of the most complete players on the roster.

Salam Khan is the leader and offensive engine of the team. At 6’5”, he combines size, scoring ability, court vision, and playmaking from the forward position. Whether creating his own shot, attacking mismatches, or setting up teammates, Khan has the ability to control the flow of the game and elevate everyone around him.

Harris Ahmed adds another versatile 6’4” forward who can make a major impact without needing the ball. A former varsity player, Ahmed is an elite defender and dependable shooter who can guard multiple positions, space the floor, and take on the opponent’s most dangerous scorer.

Japinder Grewal brings toughness and physicality as a bruising 6’3” big. He embraces contact, battles for rebounds, protects the interior, and gives the team the type of defensive edge every championship contender needs.

The backcourt is loaded with speed, shooting, and energy. Anser Shah is a lightning-fast guard and explosive scorer who can change the pace of a game immediately. Taha Ahmed is a dangerous three-point specialist and skilled penetrator who forces defenders to respect both his shooting range and ability to attack the basket.

Sameel Malik serves as a steady floor general who rebounds exceptionally well for his position and consistently delivers on defense. His awareness, composure, and willingness to make the right play help connect every part of the lineup. Qasim Mateen completes the rotation as a talented scorer and relentless high-energy competitor whose hustle creates extra possessions and momentum.

With size at every position, multiple playmakers, experienced scorers, elite defensive versatility, and a deep rotation, this team is built to win in several different ways. They can dominate inside, attack in transition, execute in the half court, pressure opposing ball handlers, and surround their creators with shooting.

The greatest strength of this roster, however, may be its balance. Every player brings a distinct skill, understands his role, and contributes to winning.

Ten players. One purpose. No weaknesses to hide and no opponent to fear.
